Aurrum Careers is a personalised career support service. We help students, graduates, early-career professionals, job changers and career changers find the right direction, strengthen their CV and LinkedIn profile, apply for suitable roles and prepare for interviews. Our office is at B - 403 Priviera, Nehru Nagar Cir, Patel Colony, Ambawadi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through aurrumcareers.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. In this policy, “Aurrum Careers”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Aurrum Careers service and the team that runs it. If you have a question, write to info@aurrumcareers.com.

Information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us through our website forms, plus a small amount of technical information needed to keep the site working and secure.

Contact form

When you use the Contact page we collect your full name, email address, career stage, the type of support you are interested in, and your message. We also record the date, time and IP address of the submission.

15 Days free trial form

When you start a trial you can upload your CV or resume (PDF, DOC or DOCX). We read the text of your file in your browser to help pre-fill the form. You then confirm details such as your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, LinkedIn profile, visa or work status and career goals.

Application checklist form

If we ask you to complete our application checklist, we collect the details a recruiter needs to support your search. These can include:

• your name, email address, mobile and WhatsApp numbers
• your date of birth and current UK address
• education details, including degrees, universities, subjects and dates
• visa status, visa start and expiry dates, right to work in the UK, sponsorship needs and any work restrictions
• your job preferences: titles, locations, availability and whether you are open to relocation
• whether you have given us LinkedIn access, if you choose to
• uploaded documents: your work permit or share code document, your resume and a copy of your visa

Some of this information, such as immigration status, is sensitive. We ask for it only so we can match you with roles you are eligible for and advise you properly.

Technical information

Like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use cookies that are needed for security and for staff logins. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use your information

• to reply to your enquiries and arrange your free trial
• to understand your goals, experience and eligibility so we can shape our support, for example CV and cover letter improvement, LinkedIn profile enhancement, job search strategy, applications and interview preparation
• to match you with relevant opportunities and to support and track your applications, with your agreement
• to send you service messages about your trial or application, and to follow up on your enquiry
• to keep the website secure, prevent spam and misuse, and meet legal obligations
• to improve our service and website, using information that does not identify you wherever possible

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.

Why we are allowed to use your information

Where data protection law such as the UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Your request. We need your details to respond to your enquiry or deliver the service you asked for.
• Your consent. We ask for your consent where it is required, including for sensitive information such as visa details and for sharing your CV with employers. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share your information only when there is a good reason to:

• Our team. Recruiters and business development staff who work with candidates can see the forms you submit through our secure staff portal. Access is limited to people who need it.
• Employers and recruiters. We share your CV or profile with a hiring company only when you have agreed to it for a specific role.
• Service providers. Companies that host our website and deliver our emails act on our instructions and may process your information only to provide those services.
• Authorities. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Our team and providers may be located outside your country, including in India. Where your information is transferred, we take steps to make sure it stays protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our service and to meet legal and accounting requirements. As a general guide, enquiries and trial details are kept while your enquiry or trial is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Documents such as your CV and visa copy are deleted when you ask us to or when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see your rights below).

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. These include secure connections, protected staff logins, access limited to staff who need it, form protections against spam and misuse, and regular updates to our website software. Uploaded files are stored on our website server and are only accessible to authorised staff. No online service can promise absolute security, so please avoid sending information that we have not asked for.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: those that keep forms and staff logins secure and let the website work properly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, such as staff login, may then stop working.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information or to restrict how we use it
• object to our use of your information, or withdraw consent you gave earlier
• ask for your information in a portable format

Children

Our service is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website links to other sites, such as our LinkedIn and Instagram pages, and uses a map link for our address. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our service or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell you on this website.
